The Food Services Associate is responsible for performing entry level job functions relative to patient meal service, cafeteria, catering, food preparation and sanitation.

About Daniel Drake Center
As a member of UC Health, Greater Cincinnati’s academic health system, Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care has served the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region for more than 165 years. It is the region’s premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services and research. Daniel Drake Center helps patients recover from catastrophic injury and illness including multi-system organ failure, complex wound care, traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury. It offers a comprehensive care continuum and a variety of services to help patients throughout their recovery.
Responsibilities
• Set up patient tray line with hot and cold food items, serving utensils and service ware per specifications of job assignment; replenish items as needed.
• Read from preprinted tray tickets to serve correctly portioned hot and cold food items for individual trays for patients on both modified and regular diets.
• Assemble late meals for patients. Breakdown clean and sanitize workstation at the end of meal assembly.
• Re-stock station for next meal.
• Disassemble soiled cafeteria trays and patient trays upon return to the kitchen; sort, wash and rinse dishes and store washed items.
• Wash tray carts.
• Maintain standards of personal hygiene and infection control; maintain standards of dress per department policy; maintain clean and uncluttered work environment, communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Attends meetings as required to enhance knowledge, job skills and communication within the department.
• Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience helpful but not required;
On-the-job training provided.
